Meet Tara and Scott. I recently had the opportunity to be the wedding videographer for their beautiful wedding day, and honestly, they were such a pleasure to work with. One of the interesting parts of wedding work is that you never fully know what the energy will be like when you first meet a couple. You hope the personalities click, the vibe feels natural, and everyone is on the same page.

With Tara and Scott, it was easy from the start. The moment I met them, I could tell they were genuine, kind, and just good people to be around. As a creative, that makes such a big difference. When a couple trusts you, treats everyone well, and truly enjoys their day, it allows us to capture something that feels real and honest.
Their wedding took place at Perona Farms in Andover, New Jersey, and if you know anything about New Jersey wedding venues, you know Perona Farms is a standout. New Jersey has such a wide range of wedding locations, from rustic countryside venues to beach weddings, elegant ballrooms, and city-style backdrops. Perona Farms gives you that beautiful mix of rustic charm, elegance, and warmth all in one place.
The hospitality at the venue really spoke for itself. They took great care of Tara and Scott, their guests, and the vendors throughout the day. That may seem like a small thing, but it makes a huge difference on a wedding day. When the venue is organized, welcoming, and attentive, the whole day flows better.

For this wedding, I was there capturing video, while the main photographer was my guy Eric Coleman. Eric is seriously talented. Not only does he have an amazing eye, but he also brings a great personality to the day, which makes working together even better. It is always a good time collaborating with him, and I’ll be sharing some of his photos here as well because the man is truly an artist.

Now, let’s talk a little bit about the gear side of things. For Tara and Scott’s wedding, I kept my setup simple but effective. I had three cameras with me throughout the day. My main handheld camera was the Canon C80, which I used for run-and-gun moments and anything that needed quick movement. My gimbal camera was the Canon C50, which helped capture smooth, stabilized footage. I also had the Sony A7CII as a backup camera in case I needed it.
Of course, wedding videography is not just about beautiful visuals. Audio is a huge part of telling the story. For this wedding, I used the Zoom F6 to capture clean audio from the soundboard, along with the DJI Mic 2 for backup audio when needed. This setup helps carry me through ceremonies, speeches, and those important moments where clear audio matters.
But at the end of the day, the gear is only part of the story. What really matters is capturing the emotion, the people, and the feeling of the day. Tara and Scott’s wedding at Perona Farms was full of warmth, love, and genuine moments, and that is exactly what I love preserving through wedding films.
Check out their wedding video below, and let me know what you think.
